This is a classical, sometimes entertaining whodunnit novel. A group of pensioners set out to solve murders in the neighborhood, their aficionado skills always a step ahead of the erratic, somehow dumb police officers. So, classical stuff all the way, including a cluedo card of characters, that are hardly believable.
However, if you suspend, as you should in all fiction, disbelief and so assume that a group of idle of Brexiteers will solve mysteries beyond the reach of authorities, you may have a good time. Or wait for the inevitable movie, that will be for sure one of a long series.
